Carlynn Ferguson

I’ve spent my career with IpHorgan specializing primarily in trademark and copyright law, and find satisfaction in assisting our clients through the creative process on the legal side. I help our clients find the right brand name, and the right strategies to enforce and protect their creative works. I’ve worked with a variety of clients, from startups and artists to corporations with global intellectual property portfolios, in a range of industries, including construction, automotive, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, energy, power and automation, consumer products, and fashion. I’ve tackled issues including foreign and domestic trademark clearance, registration and maintenance, and enforcement, raided counterfeit factories in China, and negotiated settlements between multinational companies. I also regularly assist buyers, sellers, licensors, and licensees in all aspects related to the transfer of intellectual property for portfolios in virtually every jurisdiction

I have a B.S., Marketing and Arts Management, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, International Business & Global Marketing, from Regent’s University London, and a J.D., from DePaul University College of Law; where I also received Certificate in Intellectual Property Law and was the Legislative Updates Editor for DePaul Journal of Art and Entertainment Law.
